Ep. 158 - Birthdays and Best Friends

Hello lovelies and welcome back to 50 PLUS A TIP Podcast ! 🎉

Today’s episode is a little bit different in honor of their birthdays!

The episode starts with a quick life and work update; Riley is back from her quick trip to New Zealand, and Danica shares how frustrating it was to try and plan Riley a surprise birthday dinner. Then the hosts are joined by a fan-favorite guest: Nina

Nina hosts a ‘newly-weds’ style game (inspired by Nicole Byer and Sasheer Zamata's podcast: Best Friends) where she asks Danica and Riley questions about one other and then compare answers; What are the hosts' favorite colors? Some favorite memories? What can they not stand about each other? And who do they think would last longer on the tv show Survivor?

The ladies share some listener answers on how their friends became their best friends and finish off with a quiz of “What type of friend are you?”

While harmful, incorrect stigmas sadly surround the sex industry, Danica and Riley trust that using their podcast platform to share their own experiences and give a voice to others along the way, they can give “outsiders” a glimpse of the real world of adult entertainment and show everyone that they can own their sexuality proudly (and sometimes even profit off of it)!

Danica is a sarcastic, straightforward, sex-postive feminist with a passion for topics that some may consider “taboo.” With a psychology degree under her belt, a public speaker/ university guest lecturer, a devoted sex workers advocate and a successful career as an exotic dancer - she knows some stuff!

Danica lives her life by two philosophies: 1) it’s better to have a life of “oh well”s than “what if”s and 2) be unapologetically you! Her years of experience as a sex worker have given her a passion and drive to do what she can to eliminate the dangerous stigma that currently surrounds the sex industry. She is confident that sharing her stories as an active sex worker can do just that - show women (and men) that they can own their sexuality proudly (and sometimes even profit off of it)!
