Ep. 108 - Interview: Jules, Don't F*ck With Me

Trigger warning : s*xual assault. Abuse.  “Don’t Fuck With Me” (@dontfckwithme.yvr) was created by Jules (@comesinwithme) , an activist, s3x worker and survivor of s3xual assault, in the spring of 2021 in hopes of providing foundational knowledge for self-defence. In the height of horrific abuse towards women, those who identify as women, transgender, gender diverse, BIPOC, s3x workers, and many others that intersect these titles - Jules couldn’t sit back any longer.  DFWM is a free self-defence workshop catered specifically for those listed above. The workshops not only consist of basic physical training and defence tactics, but also highlights the importance of harnessing fear into power and confidence. Jules is also an eclectic witch, one who embraces all magic and spiritualities. They work with the elements, animals, astrology, lunar cycles and pagan traditions to align with the divine. In this episode we: discuss basic self defence tips, share advice for survivors of s3xual assault, lighten things up by recapping our favourite stripper moments and dive into some witchy practices that we can all benefit from.  As always, have a wonderful week and happy wh0re-ing !

About the Podcast

50 Plus a Tip
A podcast for strippers and open minded hoes
“How much is a dance?” Well... it’s “$50 PLUS A TIP!”

Two stripper best friends sharing the highs and (b)lows of their experience in the adult entertainment industry, with some help from special guests along the way.

While harmful, incorrect stigmas sadly surround the sex industry, Danica and Riley trust that using their podcast platform to share their own experiences and give a voice to others along the way, they can give “outsiders” a glimpse of the real world of adult entertainment and show everyone that they can own their sexuality proudly (and sometimes even profit off of it)!

About your host

Profile picture for Danica

Danica

Danica is a sarcastic, straightforward, sex-postive feminist with a passion for topics that some may consider “taboo.” With a psychology degree under her belt, a public speaker/ university guest lecturer, a devoted sex workers advocate and a successful career as an exotic dancer - she knows some stuff!

Danica lives her life by two philosophies: 1) it’s better to have a life of “oh well”s than “what if”s and 2) be unapologetically you! Her years of experience as a sex worker have given her a passion and drive to do what she can to eliminate the dangerous stigma that currently surrounds the sex industry. She is confident that sharing her stories as an active sex worker can do just that - show women (and men) that they can own their sexuality proudly (and sometimes even profit off of it)!
